Thanks WH2. I was hoping someone else would chime in with a golden trout response and thanks for the plug for the Ice Fishing Challenge.
A good indicator you are holding a golden trout is the presence of large parr marks, relatively large spots concentrated near the tail and very few spots on the belly. Goldens will usually have white on the leading edges on their anal and pelvic fins and normally have an orange/red color on their belly.
