Ok, here are the pics of my old fish finder, I used PVC to hold the transducer and it sits right on the edge of the hole, taking up little space. On the other hand, I bought a Showdown 2.0 at the end of last season and I like the read out but the transducer, with the foam around the cord, like you want to do, takes up a lot of space in the hole. I'll also show you my tool box/ tackle box, that holds it all.
