[#0000FF]I have been a big American Angler fan for many years. Finally just wore out one i bought while still living in Arizona...over 12 years ago. Lost count of the number of fish it has filleted over the years. I now have two more...one 12 volt and one 110 volt. The 12 volt is almost as strong as the 110 volt.
I tried one of the Rapalas a fishing buddy bought. Looked good and felt good. But the blade serrations were off...long and pointed. Ripped the fish instead of evenly cutting them.
Getting one that fits your hand comfortably, during a long filleting session, is a biggy. I can't believe how horrible some designs are. I have big hands but some of those knives are not very ergonomic.
American Angler knives used to be sold everywhere. Wally World even had them. Now they are harder to find...and more spendy. I know they are available through Amazon.
