I've been monitoring Utah Lake about once a week now. Last week it was totally iced over (Lincoln) and did not even appear close to opening up. Still a few die-hards working the first spring and one guy drilling a hole off the end of the launch. Water level might be up an inch or two and there is a heavy flow coming in at the Benjamin Slough. Won't be long now until the walleye guys start up. Maybe with the warmer weather and some rain and wind it will start to break up. I say March 15th???

Can't wait. Might have to go out and throw rocks to speed up the process. I'm ready.
