I am attaching a pic of a little (24#) 33 amp/hour battery I got after I first started putting a motor on my tube. It is a Werker. I don't think that particular brand or model is still available but there are others. They are true deep cycle batteries that work well for pushing around a tube or toon. I was amazed at just how much life I had in the one I got. I once fished all the way around to Freeway Bay, from the South Marina, and then came back to the ramp under full power with it. Never a falter and still had juice.

I originally got it because I didn't have enough floatation in my tube to support a bigger battery. Then I came up with using a couple of inflated boat bumpers up front and graduated to a series 27 battery.

For the sake of weight, you could get two of the smaller batteries and rig them in a series...to produce a 12 volt system with 66 amp/hours. Should be more than enough for a lot of fishing if you keep them charged and maintained.
