one of our great lakes was as good as dead at one time , lake erie .
human waste and chemical polutants were abundant , even the ohio river itself cought fire once .
but once the fish huggers (good old fishermen ) and the curse of the freighters (zebra muscles )took hold of things , well it's been getting better .
if we could get the powers that be to investigate and prosicute the oil ,chemical, and medical waste products dumping people without the "is that your envalope of money on the ground ?"syndrome , well it could be pretty clean .
i'm not saying someones taking bribes in our government , but how can you not trace a couple hundred thousand gallons of oil dumped from shore or a sewer ?
in case any of them are looking at this , here's how you find the point of origin . go to where it is . follow it upriver untill you reach a point to where it isn't . look harder to see the oil slick on the rocks and sutch and forget about lining your darned pockets !
