I was too young to remember my first fishing trip but I must have been hooked. I was raised on the banks of the Bear River in Cache Valley and would spend nearly all day every day during the summer months on the river fishing for what ever would bite. Mostly in those days it was carp and mud cats or yellow belly or bull heads (what ever you want to call them) catfish.
I, however, had a huge love for trout fishing and would love to fish the Little Bear River (where Porcupine Res. now is) with my dad and grandpa. The best time of the year was always in Aug. when the grasshoppers were out. After Porcupine was built, my dad and I fished it when ever we could get a break from the farming.
I have taught my sons to fish and they love to go.
Big fish tackle has become almost as big of addiction as fishing. I love the site and the message boards.
Thanks all for your input to a great site.
