Getting two weeks on Champlain. Smallmouth are on bed and on fire. Fat and sassy. 8 -10 fow, around chunk rock and scattered weeks. Hitting tubes, jigs, top water, cranks, hair jigs. Water has varied from 58 to 73, depending on the wind. Some of the tour pros are catching 30-40 a day. I am not that good, or dialed in. Had a couple of days with whitecaps, several with big rollers and two with just a ripple. You can see bottom to 12&#39;, so you can see beds, and cruisers. <br />This also beats the heat, mid 50&#39;s at night, but heading to 90&#39;s Sunday. Back at them tomorrow, from a sheltered area, 20 mph wind tomorrow.
