I don't have the answer about Sheep Creek Lake, but what about "Lake" Powell? [
] I can think of many others that have dams, and are called lakes, either before or after the actual name of the lake, I mean reservoir. Brownie Lake is just a few miles away, with an earthen dam backing up a creek. Or crick.
