Your dunking the other day reminded me of my slip on the rail of my boat trailer at Deer Creek when launching several years ago, shortly after my knee replacement. I sat in the water, at the ramp, for maybe 10-12 minutes, no one offered to help. I was finally able to get up and get the boat back on the trailer with help from one of the parks interns, but the other boaters ignored me. I was lucky, the water was only 18 inches, just got me wet.
I heartily agree about the new inflatable life jackets. As you well know, we lost a good friend, Greg Jonas, some 20 yrs ago when he took his off to swim after his boat to retrieve it. Being as nimble as you are, I put mine on when I get out of the truck to launch and don't remove it till I am recovered and at the top of the ramp now.
Glad you came out of it oaky !!
