I also remember a time long long ago...on a lake far far away...Yuba to be precise. As I recall you tried to see if you could do the breast stroke while wearing a round float tube around your feet. Not sure but i doubt any of us was properly PFDed in those days.
Yes, accidents do happen...and by definition they are unplanned and/or unanticipated. For the prudent it should not require a close call to remind us to take safety precautions. It is always good when we make it out the other side and are able to laugh at our own misfortunes. All too often those who experience accidents do not survive to learn from their oversights.
Glad you were able to get trailered...with some assistance. I'm sure there was some pain involved. Hope the knee is treating you well these days. As long as you don't soak it in Utah Lake...or sit through another one of those meetings.
