I've asked myself that a lot in past years.
One thing I have seen is a drought and kill off always produces some great trophy fishing at Henry's 3 to 4 years later. There used to be some on this board that wanted to argue the diet of the Henry's Trophy Trout but I think most of those people no longer go there after the biologists confirmed the rise in chub minnows during the drought years and then the feeding on said minnows to produce some spectacular trout in the following years.
