The reason I feel that could be why we don't get bites when those schools come through is because I've seen them, late in the Fall at Porcupine, they cruise right at the surface and they are very small but the schools are huge at times, I'm sure they number in the hundreds. Then when we fish the same areas at first ice, we see them coming through but no bites. It always seems that the ones that come through deeper are the biters.
Sounds like you had another good day, did you get a Pic of the big Bow? Do you think you could get on the ice there if there wasn't a dock in the water?
