I agree with fishnhunter I didn't see any large schools last time I was up. Just small groups of a few fish around the 35 to 40ft range with a few deeper but not a lot. We also caught a lot of the small Chinooks in the spring but none the last 2 trips since its warmed up. The one time at the beginning of May I fished up by the dam there was an area we were seeing good size schools of fish down at 100ft but could never get them to bite so not sure what they were. We only caught 4 kokes and one rainbow that day. Although I am just learning the kokanee game so I could have had the wrong gear on. After watching some videos it looks like I should have been using black and white or blue and purple colored squid and some kinda glow on the flasher or squid for the deep water? I have heard a few people say they stay away from braid for leader due to it not being as stiff and therefore not imparting as much action to the squid? Again only here say as I haven't tried it yet.
