I’ve never had issues parking there. There’s a big turn/pull out on the lake side of Big Elk. Just park there, cross the highway and go ride down to the lake. Make sure your going to the creek side of the Big Elk on the East side of the highway. No ice or thin ice on the lake side of Big Elk right now.
