Jerry Brown Decade Hollow Core Spectra is a spliceable, multicolored braided line, with 10 different colors that change every 10 yards, so no math. Not only will you see how far you cast, but you will also know where your lure or fish is as you retrieve. When sight fishing with large lures, it is particularly useful. I don't want the splash to spook the fish, so I cast far past the fish and retrieve it fast to get close to the fish by estimated distance from the colors and slow and work the lure where the fish was or ahead of it's direction of travel before it moves too far to notice. That gets the lure quickly in front of the fish with a natural presentation and no splash.
