Prior to being planted, fish are blasted with a fine inert plastic in one of three colors — orange, red or green. The color identifies the year. When placed under a black light, the color identifies the age class.

The survey shows how well fish are doing at Strawberry Reservoir and the results from Friday show that the rainbow trout are doing well, cutthroat trout not as well, Utah chubs are holding their own, the Utah suckers are losing ground and the kokanee salmon are doing exceptionally well.
There is also no shortage of crayfish or crawdads, which means little to fishermen, but are a good fish food.[/b]
