Hark! For I have seen the promised land....
#1
where boils are present as far as the eye can see. Schools of shad flying out of the water, glittering in the early morning sunlight, with swift, stalking, pursuing predators in hot persuit. Casting nets gently splashing in the predawn hours, netting live shad for the day's outing.... HEY HOLD ON A MINUTE.......WHAT! YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO NET LIVE SHAD IN WILLARD!

Well, this place isn't Willard and I guess I should of posted on the Nevada board since all this GREAT fishing is taking place in Lake Mead but I just wanted to let the wiper fisherman who like to chase the Willard boils know what it's like. Let's just say, imaging the best boils you've seen in Willard and times it by 10X. I have had the opportunity this last weekend to fish Lake Mead with my brother, who lives in Henderson, and have had a excellent time. Boil fishing right now, is hot and heavy and when it slows down, the live bait fishing picks up where the boil fishing left off. It is not hard to put 60 to 80 stripers on the boat in 4 to 5 hours of fishing. The sizes range from 1 to 6 lbs. The only draw back is I wish they'd fight more like a wiper........So I guess I'll come back to Utah and chase wipers.......
