[cool][#0000ff]As a float tuber, I am especially aware of discarded line and its effects. I get it tangled around my fins and legs while tubing in shallower water and I see the results on shoreline animals and birds.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I do a lot of vertical jigging and bottom bouncing while tubing. It is a rare trip that I do not bring in a ball of discarded line or hook onto a length of line someone unspooled and just left in the water. I retrieve all of that stuff and keep it in a pocket on my tube until I can properly dispose of it.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]On a couple of occasions I have been rewarded for my efforts, by bringing in a complete rod and reel on the other end of the line. I have obtained a couple of decent outfits this way, after cleaning them up. Of course, if the reels have been underwater too long they are tough to restore to good smooth action.[/#0000ff]
