strawberry/ big trout flys

I use a sinking line on Strawberry, and I got this pattern from a good friend Jason. If you tie it in TAN it is a CHUB imitation, if you tie it in burnt orange and a little deeper, it is a Crayfish.
Easy to tie with, Zonker strip across the back, red sparkle chenille body and marabou or matching color Wood Duck softhackle collar:

Another good patter is the CAPTAIN AMERICA or THE MIDNIGHT FIRE, which is just black marabou tail and black chenille with red and blue flash in it with black hackle palmered forward. Again, I don't weight my flies and let the line do it. If you are using floating you might want to add some weight to the fly itself.
