I have only had one boat with Vinyl.
I think with any material, you should ROLL the tube/toon up. Folding causes creases. I use to leave my boats inflated and hang them in the rafters of the garage, and I will do this again when it is boating time, but I still roll up the rest of the boats as I drive a small car and easy to put it in the back.

I thing that Rolling is the key.
