3 Day Backpackin Trip

Beautiful pics! I've never even seen a tiger trout. Something else to add to my Bucket List.

So far I've only fished southern Utah, Beaver and Boulder mtns. Any chance those are available in those areas?

Yes to both of those. I take it you are close to beaver? The best spot for you would be little res. up beaver canyon. You can find a few tiger trout in the river below Minersville Res. too.

As for the boulders....I have never been there but I have seen the beautiful tigers they pull out of there. I'd say the easiest place to catch a tiger trout is Currant Creek Res in the spring along the shorelines at the dam. Spinners work wonders on tiger trout.

I really love tiger trout myself. They are a very beautiful and hard fighting species.

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately they're about a 6-8 hour drive. I've fished Minersville, as well as below the dam, lots of trout, but no tigers. also fished the lakes on Beaver Mtn, a as far up as Lebaron. Same result. Trying to get up that way after Labor Day. Maybe I'll get lucky then.
