[#800000]This is basically what the new ride will look like - a 2017 ThunderJet 185 Explorer with a 150 Merc 4-stroke.[/#800000]

[#800000]Mine will be Burgundy on the windshield and side wings. Due to arrive in mid-April. Sold the Tracker on KSL in less than 2 days with well over a dozen calls on it. I am chomping at the bit in anticipation of the new ride.[/#800000]

Congrats on getting a new sled. I sprung for mine last year. The offshore is a nice feature with a good powerhead to get you around. What added flavors are you installing yourself? [fishin]
What added flavors are you installing yourself? [fishin]
[#800000]Actually none; I'm letting the dealer install the after market stuff (Cannon Mag10STX (4 each) and a Minn Kota PowerDrive (V2) with iPilot) and there are 26 options being added by the manufacturer. I will basically get a turn-key boat from the dealer. I may add some minor options like vertical rod holders and rail mounted RAM rod holders, but all the major stuff will be done by the dealer.[/#800000]

I am experiencing boat envy, I was eyeing a Weldcraft last month but decided to listen to my better financial wisdom side of the brain. Eventually though I will replace our boat, but tough to justify right now with having less than 100 hours on a completely rebuilt motor and all new electronics.

I opted shopping Craig's list and found one in Everett, Wash. a 2007 Columbia 2018 Fisherman XL which is built by Renaissance Marine who also builds Duckworth. It has the Yamaha 150, Yamaha 9.9 high thrust kicker mounted on an offshore, I installed some of the other stuff from my previous boat such as a newer fishfinder and 4 Walker downriggers. Also fixed a few things but a stout 20' aluminum boat. These style boats are anemic here but do exist and you see more of them passing thru from other states. They are gaining in popularity. They also come with a price tag even used. I included a picture of the one the day I bought it.

then you can let the fishfinder drive your boat
I like the top looks good.

I don't know Bob, someone your age may need someone younger to help you deal with all that new equipment ( I am only 67) so I will gladly volunteer to assist you any time you take it out !! Looks like a neat ride. Agree with the post that you need to get Humminbird sonars. I put a Terrova on the Big Red Skeeter last year and am in the process of selling my Lowrance units to buy Humminbird's. I have a buddy that put the Ulterra on his Ranger with two 10" Onix units, with Side Scan, Down Scan, and 360 imaging. It is simply incredible what you can do with the I pilot link and spot lock. Worth the cost to upgrade.
Enjoy the new ride and be safe !!!

And yes, it will be an awesome kokanee catching machine with style.

Also, I got a killer deal on a Lowrance Elite 7 Ti ($800 MSRP) from a Cabela's Bargain Cave in Texas - $420 out the door.[/#]
