Changing surface conditions Strawberry
#1
Windy day slow catching. Not as many fish on the finder as last week.
There is still about 6 to 8 inches of snow on top of the ice. . The snow is crusty covering a section of powdery stuff then the beginning of the slush. About 2 inches of slush. These warm days without the really cold nights to freeze the snow that is melting is not good.

May not be possible for wheeled travel over the ice this weekend or next week unless you are on a well traveled trail.

Edges are still solid at the marina.

Certainly no offense taken -- but why would you not take advantage of a few extra months out on the hardwater? I love trolling some of our large and smaller lakes/res., really enjoy playing with the brookies up in the Uintah's on a nice summer or fall day, and have some fun sitting on a bank with some guys who can't fish other ways.....but you're sure missing out on some great thrills and fishing opportunities if you're not "Sittin' by a hole, with a 3 foot pole"...."Is it a keeper?"......(check it out on Youtube..."Ice Fish Baby") You'll love it, even if you don't get the ice fishing bug....Guluk....
