Welcome to the site mnfitc, have you ever fished that pond at the mouth of Farmington canyon? I haven't fished it this year but they stocked some nice bows there a year ago, we were catching some over 24".[cool] Have you found the Utah board yet?

Farmington pond is a fun little place. I've taken scouts and grandchildren there. I have a Tracker 175 WT so I like a little bigger lake. Went to Willard Saturday got blown off and no fish[Sad]

Those community ponds are great, to get out and fish for a few hours when time does not allow you to take the boat out but I agree, I'd much rather get out and fish from the boat. Willard has been slow this year but I think that will change soon. We've been picking up a few wipers in the last three weeks there but they have been tough to come by. Hopefully the walleye bite will turn on soon, I haven't caught any this year but I mainly troll cranks, so that bite does not turn on, until after the spawn.

Thank you for your reply.
I guess I'm too anxious to catch wipers and walleye. My goal this year is to develop my skills on catching both. I can catch trout most of the time but so far the walleyes are winning . I've been reading post and watching YouTube but I'm realizing it's not that easy. I've joined this forum in hope to learn from the experts

This should help you, go to the light blue bar above and where it says "Search", click there. A search page will open up, on the left of the first box it will say "Search" and in the box it will say, "All forums", click on the arrow there and a drop down menu will appear. Scroll down to where it says, Utah fishing Forum and click on, "Utah Fishing General". It should take you back to the search page. On the next open box, type in "Willard", then go down to where a button says "Search" and click it. The search results will come up and there should be over 900 pages of post about Willard. You can select recent post or last years or 10 years past, lots of good info that should help you a bunch.
