Strawberry Report
#1
I was at strawberry res 13-15, we fished Strawberry bay and to the south of the bay to the cove or area where all the float tubers go.

We ended up with a total of 20 fish for the two days. Nothing amazing but still have fun.

We tried the suggested tips form the fishing boards and they were not very productive. White tubes, Perch rapala (why perch there is no perch). Not very productive.

We caught most our fish on a Jakes lure. Yes plane old jakes, trolling at 1.9 MPH. We also did ok with wedding rings and worms.

Good luck and let me know how you did and where you went.

I was up there a buddy on the 15th. We crushed the cutts and got a good rainbow. The majority caught were in shallow water casting to them and sight fishing. Westwards of the marina.

I was up there on September 26th. we caught 55 fish from 2-7 pm. We trolled 3 leadcore poles using a dodger with a small spoon tied 3-4 feet behind the dodger. We caught the most fish in 25-35 feet of water. Several double and triple ups. The majority of them were slot cutts. We caught maybe 10 under the slot and one fat rainbow about 16 inches. Lots of 17-20 inch cutts. I've got pics but no one cares to see slot cutts from the Berry.
