Gorgeous Day at UL
#1
Launched at Lindon about 5:30. No wind at all the water was glass and the cats were active. Pulled off 3 doubles. Not sure why I continued with 2 poles after the 1st double let alone the second one. It’s a good thing we are limited to 2 poles or I would still be untangling that mess. I took my sons dog for company and she was no help.

It might be my imagination but the cat fights were much more intense from just yesterday. I also hoped to shoot a carp since I am out of carp confection but they were not far enough into the spawn for my skill set. So chicken was on the menu until I miraculously ended up with a white bass when I was making sure the bow was still fuctional. When I retreived the arrow there was a white bass that was 4” long on the arrow. So I had a small portion of the head and tail to carefully place on the hook. They each caught 4 or 5 before they decided they were through.

Kentofnsl and his wife were launching as I was getting off close to noon. The lake was still glass. I was trying (unsuccessfully) to spy on his technique with my binos. I know they were successful at least once becouse his wife and was whooping like a child on Christmas morning while putting it in the net. I thought it was very cute. It’s too bad I didn’t get it on video becouse I know she would have family that would cherish it.

Here are some pics of the trip including my 42 inch catch. (That is what I saw. But my dislexia conveniently flares up when I am fishing).

Nice job and great report. Amazing how good cats can tangle two lines. They do better than kids. Later J
