This is one of the weekends that I avoid the gorge. way to many people. Fishing a private lake in idaho that only lets 8 rods on the water. good luck to all and there great fishing endeavors!

I use to look fwd to either the weekend or holiday weekend to go fishing. Having all week to ponder at work is in the past. Now retired I can wet a line anytime avoiding the weekend crowds. The has been 5 days on 2 off is now presently 7 off relaxing, napping, BBQing, fishing, and enjoying a couple cold ones. The only hard part of this schedule is where will I decide to go fishing.

I used to feel the same way until we went last year, it was surprisingly quieter than I expected. The sheriff's office does drive through the campground each evening and keep an eye/ear open for rowdy behavior.

It’s usually our kickoff weekend, but this year we will be in Moab, then we are heading up to the gorge the weekend after.
