Got out for first time ice fishing this season. Slow for me but didn't get skunked. About 1/3 the way across north of cemetery, about 40 ft deep. Ice at least 10 in. Thick. Edges solid and no slush, even at dusk when I left. Great weather.

Great report, wow I heard it had been cold up there, but 10” of ice is great that should make it good and safe for anything I’d ever take out with me. Nice fish too. Thanks J

Yes, glad it was a bigger one, since it wasn't a multi-perch day.
The bite was very light. I use a bobber, and these two never took it down. Both simply dimpled the bobber down a fraction in the water. I thought both were dink perch.
Fun challenge, but of course I like to see the bobber pulled under! Good Luck!
For Skunked, yes it was thick solid ice, but amazingly never saw an atv on the ice. It was a weekday so might be the reason. Please check conditions before taking something heavy out. I believe temps are supposed to go up. Be safe and good luck.
