It's been many moons since I have been here on BFT.
I moved from UT county to SLC county and I finally have time to fish.
I have passed echo lake on my way to WY. and see it's FULL.
My question is, what is the best fish to target and what to use?
I prefer trout but my wife will go for anything.
I have a small 14FT fishing boat and I would like to know where to launch.
Also, we want to know the best place to camp.
Thank you in advance,
Shawn

I have not caught any walleye there, but supposedly those too. I caught a nice mess of crappie last summer there.

Thanks all!
Any suggestions on baits? (any species)
Should I troll for the trout?

I'd target some smallies on a drop shot or ned rig. But I am a biased bass fisherman and haven't fished for anything else there.

[#0000FF]Yes, there are crappies in Echo. FF posted a report with a pic of a nice batch late last summer. And I went up a week or so later and got a couple. Nice fish. Here's a pic of one I caught...just south of the ramp casting in to shallow water along the shoreline. Also got a lot of nice perch and some smallies.[/#0000FF]
