The Gorge at Buckboard
#1
Both me & AFDan52 made the one day trip to the Gorge launching from Buckboard. During our travels I picked up a hitchhiker that became an ornament added to my grill. Fish Bait? could be it has feathers. We launched and got the first rods in by 8am and by 11am we had our limits of silver bullets. A couple of the kokes were of 2lb class with one being a 4lber. Pinks & orange were working the best for us tipping the hooks with our own corn recipes. After we were done fishing we stowed the gear and went on a cruise site seeing to the canyons. A beautiful relaxing day on the water.

We are headed up that way in two weeks. How did you find the fish? Buckboard is such a big area. Were they buy the cliffs on the East side? Forgot the name.

Thanks for sharing.

I'm jealous, Roger. Not sure we'll make it again this year.

The kokes are scattered thru this area. Breeze Hill is where we were. My suggestion is to stay in deep water, the closer to land & shallower you pick up trout. We marked small groups between 30-40'. I'm in the planning stages of hitting the Berry soon but the bug is having me sway to the Gorge again.
