Personal Best (Any Species)

Let's see some of those personal best catches. Crappie, Trout, Bass, Walleye, or whatever. Bonus points if they were caught on any of our baits [Tongue]

30" Tiger Trout from Scofield in 2011.

Caught on a white 3" tube jig just before Thanksgiving that year.

I've caught a couple Cutts and one Brown close to that size but this is my biggest non-lake trout caught in Utah.

I guess that I won't worry about posting a picture of my guppy that Kent got me on after seeing his sturgeon. [Wink]

This is a bit embarrassing, but my best in fresh water was:

Carp, 26 pounds

In saltwater it's the one in my picture:

Halibut, 50 lbs.

Personal best fresh water:
48" 30 lb. Tiger Muskie at Pineview June 2005
Caught on a 2" Salt & Pepper Tube jig, med / lite rod, 8 lb. mono.

Co-worker and I were fishing for SMB near Cemetery Point in some submerged brush.
Thought I had a waterlogged tree limb on a snag. Didn't set the hook. Pull it up to the boat and saw it was a TM. Buddy netted it by the tail and dumped it over the side into the boat. That's when it decided to wake up. Knocked my open tackle box over (was finding hooks and weights and stuff for the next year), knocked my fresh poured coffee cup off the gunwale (into the boat fortunately[Wink] ).

Exactly 1 week later my youngest son caught one in almost the same spot., 27 inches, 3 lb. 10 oz.

A 36.4# carp caught out of the Kennicott duck club canal on a seven ft. Fly rod. Totally ruined the rod. I was 16 and it was all the fight I wanted.
