Uinta fall colors
#1
My son and I went up to the Uintas a week ago to see if we could catch some of the fall colors. We thought we would get into snow but there wasn't any except a skiff in the shade. We did very well for brookies and greyling since the bug hatches were mostly done and they were hungry. The biggest brook trout was just shy of 19 inches. Here are a few pictures of the colorful fish we caught. One fish we caught had a swivel sticking out of its side and a tag end of line out the other side. I've never seen a swivel sticking out the side of a fish before.

Yeah my son is getting close to the record. We think we have passed it by weight but didn't have a scale to weigh them. We turned back all of the grayling so next time up we may break the record. Although my son may not report it because he doesn't want to name the lake. Its a small lake that couldn't take a lot of pressure.

Nice brook trout! Especially by Uinta standards. Well done.
