Mantua 5/25
#1
Had a chance to hit Mantua on Memorial Day. We got up there and on the water by 1:30pm, the winds were not ideal for our kayak fishing setups. We drove around to the back lot and launched from there, at least that way the wind would blow us towards the truck.

I fished a Ned rig in pumpkin color, and caught 4 bass in the 2.5 hours we were there. Once I decided to anchor the fishing was a little more consistent. I also managed a couple of perch on a jig 3’ under a bobber tipped with gulp maggots.

Nice report and pics, that looks like some decent sized perch and bass. Where there lots of people there?

Thanks, that perch was a surprise after catching the smaller ones at Hyrum and Pineview during ice season. There were a lot of vehicles in the parking areas all around the lake, but it didn't feel crowded on the water. The bank anglers on the rocky wall area looked a bit crowded.
