Not quite yet, water temps still low 80’s…so they are still out on the beaches and in the passes. Once the water cools they will be moving inshore to the dark flats and canals, at least the Snook and Reds…trout seem to stay out on the grass flats of the inter coastal….just waiting for the big schools of BIG Jacks to start patrolling, funnest fishing ever.

Yeah, the Jacks are the Rodney Dangerfields of fishdom. They get no respect. They may not be great eating but there is no fish more willing to play or that fights harder than those jacks. Great fish to teach newbies how to fight tough fish on light tackle...or to save the day when the other guys ain't playin'.

Tarpon about through for the year? Yeah, we have our resident population but all the migratory ones are gone I believe.
