Ice fishing was terrible for me this year.
#1
Ive been out about 12 times or so this year, and about 3 times during the BFT tourney. Ive caught a few fish, Three 12"+ Yellow Perch, and a 12" Sauger. The Sauger was the only fish caught during the BFT tourney, I'll submit it but my fishing is pretty much done for the tourney. Next weekend I go to Red Lake in MN and I hope to catch a couple buckets full of 15" Crappies.

I know what ya mean, I have been locked out of the contest now for a little over 2 weeks. (lack of Ice)

I wanted to spend a little more time fishing for the walleye, but one day was all I could get in.

That sauger is in the walleye family, so he's a big counter. that's the critter we have been looking for.... congradulations. there are a couple more days so I will have to hold off on any premature anouncements.....

We wouldnt mind seeing other pic's of ice caught fish if you happen to have any shots of them....

cell phone comes to the rescue!!!!!

how did we ever get by with out them things? I bet you would have had to wait till night fall to jack it up had it not been for the cell....

hope nothing was damaged. lots of hoses and linkages down under that way not to mention the Trans and oil pan...

that would have mede me squirm a bit, especialy if I were in the truck when that happened......

I would say you luck is holding out,

i saw a couple guys out on a pond on the way home today , they had a couple sheets of plywood laying flat on the ice with some 2 x 4's nailed to them and a ladder streching out on the ice to it .

those last ice guys sure are a creative bunch , not to smart , but still creative !

heading over to the foote dam tomorow , it's suposed to be a nice day out and if there's truth to the moon phase , well this is the weekend to go fishing .

Ice fishing sucked for me too this year. I never went[Sad]. Sence I dont have an auger or a fish house I go with a buddy of mine. Well this winter his and my schedule never met eye to eye[Sad] Hopefully next year I will get to enter some fish into the contest[Smile].
But this winter I did get to fish lake nelson a bunch sence that is open year round.
