Causey

Been noticing on the USBR site that Causey has been rising 7-8 feet a day. That has to be a sight to see!

It won't be long at that rate before it fills but I'm kind of surprised they are holding any water back because of the amount of snow still in the mountains above.
Has anyone been up there fishing since ice off?

Fished it last week. Water was still going down. Did good for wild native cutthroat. Please if you catch any release them. Dad caught a very nice tiger, he made a nice dinner! Not sure how the fishing is now that the water is coming up that fast. But it will be good to see it full!

I heard from a non-gov observer that Causey topped its spillway today. The stretch from Causey dam to Pineview is under flood watch and the road may close at any time.

I saw photos on FB over the weekend of Causey spilling over quite heavily (and turbid - dark brown).
