Bear lake ice?
#1
When does bear lake typically freeze over for ice fishing?
Any information would be appreciated.

IMO, the odds are not good it will freeze over this year but some of it might, if the temps stay cold enough. The area out from the pump house is some of the most shallow around the lake and is usually the first to freeze. I don't remember the exact numbers but in a 10 year span, the whole lake usually only freezes up around 50% of those years.

I second Curt’s prediction, I don’t think it’s been near cold enough. I doubt we’ll see ice this winter unless things really change a lot. Had ice the last two winters so I expect it’s time to even up. If it does freeze it’s usually towards the end of January or early February. Later J
When things get stressful think I'll go fish'en and worry about it tomorrow!
