Any Input? New Technique
#1
So the other day I was thinking, "What if I added \a wedding ring or other trolling rig above a larger lure for casting around rivers and ponds?"

What I came up with is the following:

1. Mainline to Barrel Swivel
2. Barrel Swivel to Wedding Ring (About 12" of line)
3. Barrel Swivel below Wedding Ring
4. 6" of line between wedding ring and soft plastic (a 5" single tail grub, in this case)

Let me know what you all think, or if you have any suggestions. I will keep you updated on how it goes!

Sounds like a great idea, I have thought about rebuilding a couple of wedding rings, that I have because they have just a single hook on them but it will be interesting to see how your modified wedding rings turn out. Please add some pics, when you get a chance.

I can't quite picture what "barrel swivel below wedding ring" would be, but I'm afraid such a rig would tangle badly during the cast.

A three-way swivel with a jig and plastic on a short leader and the wedding ring on a longer one MIGHT retrieve without getting all wrapped together.
