Any ice formation information for Strawberry/ Soldier Cr. would be appreciated. Would love to get the grand kids up there over the Christmas break if there is safe ice. Thank you in advance for your help.
Do any of the bays at the Berry have fishable ice?

I know there are people who have fished mud creek and I have seen a couple other references to fishable ice but I can't give you much in the way of details. A youtuber "bait and bullets" posted a video of him fishing from his kayak next to some ice fishermen so I know some are getting on. Early ice is not my game so I have no personal knowledge
Remember: keep the lid on the worms, share your jerky, and stop by to say hi to Cookie and the Cowboy-Pirate crew

Ice reported 4 to 10" thick on Mud Creek on the 21st. The usual small bays are likely fishable, but, as always, check the ice carefully.

Thanks for the information. And wishing you a Merry Christmas.

Don’t know if this is true, but I was told two people fell through the ice on Mudcreek. For what it’s worth don’t have personal knowledge just heard the rumor so be careful. Later Jeff
PS. I heard a similar rumor last year so I didn’t go to the Berry on what was one of the best weekends so not sure what you can trust.
When things get stressful think I'll go fish'en and worry about it tomorrow!
