Thanks for the drive by report Alan, was the gate still open? Looks like the lake is much higher than it normally is
for this time of the year.

Yes the water is higher up again this year compared to past years IMO

Thanks for the update Alan. I agree that does look higher than normal.

Alan thank you very much, man everything is going to hit about the same time this year... Going to make it fun but difficult to decide where to go... Sure appreciate your info, thank you... At least it will probably spread the crowds out and that's not a bad thing... Later Jeff
When things get stressful think I'll go fish'en and worry about it tomorrow!

There has been someone fishing around the corner in open water every time I have gone up the last few weeks. Must be picking up something. Yesterday was a blue bird day up there. I skied up South Canyon with the dogs in a thermal shirt.

How much snow is up there? Are the roads covered, could you ride a snowmobile up to fish when / if it freezes? Or is it still wheeled vehicles only? Thanks J

Thanks Alan, boy this is a different winter than I'm used to, nothing is like I'd expect this year... Are you going to ice fish this year, or are you just sticking with your boat fishing? Thanks Jeff

I'm really hoping porcupine gets good ice so we can do a koke hunt.. That's the one pond that I have done well on Kokanee through the ice, so hope we get a chance to try it this year... The way the season is looking we may only get two or three weeks of ice at the most for the lower level ponds so I'm hoping I pick good locations to use that short season on... Thanks again for keeping an eye on the pig for us... Later Jeff

Drove up this am, with the snow last night there is 6-8”s of fresh snow at the top of the dam. Gate is still open and 4 rigs parked at the top that were fishing along the face of the dam. None were very far from the face of the dam. I’ve had increased a lot on the lake and the back arm is covered now and didn’t see anybody back there, big bay past the cattle guard is still open and there was 1 guy down there fishing off of the bank. With the temps we’re supposed to get through Tuesday I’d expect the lake to fully cap. Didn’t see any catching while I was there

Thanks again, that’s a crowd for those ice conditions. Pretty cold already tonight, we’ll build some good ice tonight. Boy where to go on Monday that’s the question. I think it will be good to go come Monday for me. I’ll probably let the pig grow a little more ice before I try it though. Later J

Anyone cruised past in the last day or two? Planing in going tomorrow just trying to see if I need to pack light or if it's thickened up pretty good on the main lake? Will report how it goes tomorrow afternoon either way
