Warm, wind, snow, rain? all this coming next 4 to 6 days, at least, so decided to do a 'pre-storm' try this morning, back to Rockport..same area, shallow So.end, 15 FOW...storm (snow) started about noon, when I started hitting the road again for home..Nasty winds, however, right from the beginning, 0800, and generally got worse, til I had to give up at 1100..tent was a must for protection, and guy ropes prevented collapse..so the tent was rattling almost constantly..no fun, resulting in my early departure at 1100..BUT..the perch activity/catching was still decent, 20 total brought home for fish fry..most 8.5 to 9", 6 over 9", and 1 over 10"..so still good quality fish..same pole/lures/bait sets as my last report, and again, the cut perch belly pc caught the larger perch..Guluk, and be careful if going..

Glad to hear they are still biting but it sounds like some tough conditions there Joe. Were the edges better than your last trip there?

Good report Joe, a buddy of mine is heading up. I may run up and meet him. I’ll update if I do or when I hear from him. If I don’t make it today hoping to go first part or the week, Mon. Or Tuesday. If weather is decent .
Thx.

I’d love to hear conditions if anyone was out today (Fri). I plan on heading up to RP tomorrow morning. I think it will be fine for a bit still, but man, it was warm in the valley this PM!

Scott,
My buddy just got back fishing was good but spotty had to move get a few slow move find some get a few. Still good enough he culled 30 good ones. He said a bit slushy on top ice 7” solid and snowing as he left and driving home. Edges were fine he came off west side. He said it looks like lake is rising a bit so edges may open a bit. Should be fine tomorrow. Temps projected on weather app for up there, low 20’s tonight 30’s tomorrow day . Good luck.
Report if you go up!
Thanks

I went out today near the damn. It was pretty sketchy near the edges. Someone else fell in right at shore. We caught a few and then got off of there.
