I wouldn't buy that bobber. The old fashion red and white bobbers work great and I could get a dozen or more for how much you paid for that.
Either way how did you like it besides that fact that you caught fish and it floats?

I am with you hedgesd. I am from the old school. I like the old red and white bobbers.I have used alot of other bobbers. One similiar to the pic but I still use the old stand by.
I know what you mean about the fishing department. I could go to walmart for one thing and spend alot of time in the sporting goods. I couldn't even tell you how long I spend in sportsmans.

Looks very useful to me. I've ran into trout out here that let go as soon as they feel the pressure from a bubble. This mihgt give you an extra second to set the hook. Thanks for the info poorfisherman.
I like bobber fishing for all kinds of fish. I have about 10 different styles already in my tackle box. I tend to stick with the balsa "stick" style more than others, but I have some red and whites, good old clear, light up for kitties at night, and huge 1/2oz weighted styrofoam ones, for Pike fishing large chubs, that I picked up in Idaho. I even have one that NAFC sent me that allows the line to slide through the bobber as it fills a cavity full of water until the bobber tips upright and a stainless steel ball falls against the line to stop the fall. The more wieght you have on the line, the deeper you get. They all have a purpose and a place. They can all cost you fish if used incorrectly too.

I figure the price isn't much considering it will last me a long time, alot longer than some expensive musky lures that catch a submerged tree first cast[unsure].
As for how it works well I had to pic one up for the girl after she used mine, it works great for those bait stealing bluegill. It seems to allow more time to set the hook, it would probably be great for kids or first timers, or when the fish are real timid, it by no means makes you get every fish but it does raise the percentage.
Don't get me wrong I still have 10 red and whites which are eccential for longer casts from shore but his one has found a permanant place for those special occasions, cause I tend to get distracted easily when I bait fish. Shiny objects and all that.

Should make a good crappie bobber . Only thing I can say they need to be fished with light weight jigs . I been waiting to try mine out but haven't yet . If the fish are hitting light it should work better than a regular bobber .
