[:/] When mixing 2 stroke feul, can using a different type of 2 stroke oil cause problems? I've heard that it can actully gel up and clog the carb.

I purchase synthetic oil in bulk. It seems to not smell as badly when the wind blows back into my face, and I believe it is better for the outboard (at least that is what I have been told). I don't believe it would be wise to switch back and forth between synthetic and petroleum based (again, this was advice that I received).

I think the mixed gas I had was patroleum base oil and I added synthetic base to it.
