I loved the game too, the pistons TEAM shut down the koybe and oneall "team" i loved it. as far as mr lamone goes i felt that he was a traitor to go there just for a ring, and he got what he deserved, jack. him as a person, he is an ass, but he has done alot of good for the utah outdoors.

Well I, for one, am sorry Karl didn't get his ring. I have no love for the Lakers but Karl put in a lot of loyal years at below market value to play for the Jazz for 18 seasons. That to me does not show disloyality. I find it funny that folks feel a guy that decides to work someplace else is a "traitor" for going some where else for his own personel reasons. He paid his dues and owed nothing to the Jazz. Do you really think The Jazz would be as loyal as him unless they were getting the deal they wanted? I don't know about you but I believe a man has a right to do what he feels is best for him. Isn't a man free to follow his dreams especially if it's not going to happen on the team he's on?

Karl has done a lot for Utah outdoors and he's done a lot for the state of Utah. He was voted Utahan of the year for all that he did outside the world of basketball in the state of Utah. I know he was out spoken about a lot of issues and not everyone agreed with him but I respect a guy who will speak his mind, even if it is not the popular opinion. JMHO from a Utah Jazz and Karl Malone fan...

It's all immaterial now anyway. The knee injury is probably career ending. Too bad. I'd of liked to see him get the scoring title.

It sucks about his knee. I hate to see anyone get hurt, especially when it ends their career. But on the bright side, maybe they can look at his throat too. It sure looked to me like he was choking whenever he got into the finals.

Karl should be the poster child for the Heimlick!! He'll retire, recoup, and then do a Jordan and come back for the scoring title.

I pretty much agree with what your saying here BLM, although I will add that I feel he should have went to the Lakers in 97 when he threatened to do so. He'd have had his ring by now. Maybe I'm alone in feeling he not only wasted his time but also the Jazz team's time by sticking around. If he would have left back then maybe Miller would have completely rebuilt the Jazz then instead of now. Personally, I lost all respect for Karl when he made that threat to leave and go to the Lakers after the 97 loss when clearly he was choking as much or more than anyone on the Jazz during the finals.. But thats merely my oppinion..

Very interesting point Coldfooter. If Karl did go to L.A. after 97, imagine how that would have impacted the last several years of Stock's career as well! Maybe they both would have gone to L.A. Maybe not! But the possibilities make me wonder.. Again, very interesting point.[Wink]

just where do you think karl would be if john was not around to pass him the ball all the time? dont you think some one else could be just as good if not better if they had the same oppertunity? they all had there chance in utah and blew it there is never a bad day of fishing some are just better than others
