Spent 1/2 day at Mantua in the tube. Didn't catch anything worth bragging about. Caught some good size blues and even some good size perch which should be good eating. Caught some bass but nothing of size. Still don't know what I think about the illegal planting, just hope it doesn't ruin the fishery. To tell you the truth, if it hurts the trout I'm not sure I'm sorry. I just don't think it should be a trout fishery. Don't get me wrong, if the DWR know what they are doing and it is good for trout, I'm all for it!!!

I was up there yesterday morning fishing from the west bank. I caught 2 nice perch on a small green jig. Had several other bites, but couldn't hook them.
