I was at Scofield last Thursday and Sunday. I was fishing in a boat. Thursday me and the wife took our two grandkids. We fished for two hours and had 12 fish, Sunday four of us went and had 16 fish in 3 hours. Powerbait (rainbow). Fishing was fast but the fish were little 12" to 16". Fished about 100 yards north of the island.

Last time I was there shore fishing was tough, especially on the west side. The water was shallow and the moss was chocking out the open water. Your best bet from shore would probably be along the dam channel or possibly by the shacks on the east side, or anywhere you can find deeper water. Good luck and let us know if things have changed much..

[cool]Fished it last Friday (the 23rd) and Saturday for about 1-2 hours each. We were there mostly for the crawdad's, but also had our lines in the water. The fishing/catching was slow for both, but we managed about 20-30 crawdads each time, and on friday I got skunked (as did the other 2 that I was with), but on Saturday in the two hours or so that I was there I managed two little rainbows and another person in our group (MARIE, ARE YOU READING THIS?? GO AHEAD AND SIGN UP, NO OBLIGATIONS OR SPAM, ETC.) caught a nice fat bow at about 17 inches or so. We were fishing over off the dam with minnows, but the fishing was still slow. Usually you fish with minnows in that area and you slay them. I think the fishing will pick up in a month or so when it starts to cool off. Good luck on your trip.

Fished up there a few weeks back - yea the whole south end is full of moss - no luck at all - stay away from the west side - could not find a good spot if i wanted too. We fished for several hours just north of the dam caught a few bows on power bait.... Later we hit the Price River just below the dam, that river is full of fish, if you are doing and lure fishing that is definately worth a try. - Good luck
