[cool]This is a little late but worth it. Went camping at Grant lake in the June Loop just north of Mammoth 8/25-29. My buddy Dale and I hiked to a couple of lakes just inside Yosemite. There we got into a good lure bite on some beautiful brook trout of which two we kept. The next day we trolled Grant lake on his neighbors' boat for eight trout also on lures {Thomas Bouyants, Little Cleos, and Rapalas}. On saturday we fished the two lakes behind Mammoth mountain, Starkweather and Sotcher. I got one fish at Starkweather,a 3lb 14oz on a Thomas bouyant. We then hit Sotcher for a wide open lure bite. All fish caught on Thomas Bouyants, gold with red dots. We kept only a few. My largest was 4lb 12oz. followed by a 1lb 6oz. Dale's biggest was 3lb even along with some standard stockers. All in all it was a very good trip.
