Rockport Party revised
#1
Do to the saftey concerns of many of you and mother nature we have decided to scale back the party. We will still give away prizes and get in some fishing but we are going to cancel the lunch.
Giveaways will be around 10:00 over by the boatramp.

Sorry for the late notice.[unsure][Sad][crazy][mad]

The kids portion is also cancelled. I am fearful that one of our BFT kids could get seriously hurt on the slick ice. I could not live with myself knowing that I helped organize an event that led to an injury.

I will PM all the great folks that donated money and prizes to square up with ya.

This is not a dead plan bye the way! I would still be interested in helping organize a "take a kid ice fishing party" but I think that we should wait till the conditions are better for young children. The alternate locations sound great but then we are looking at hard access to the ice or slower fishing.

Sorry folks!! But we will try again at a later date hopefully.

[size 1]Due to the abnormal ice conditions this year, we are unable to fully throw the ice party to fish1on, fishnpro40 and my liking. Mainly for safety reasons. But a bunch of us are still going up to Rockport on Saturday to fish. So instead of a big lunch get together, and kids gathering. we are inviting everyone that feels like they still would like to come to please join us.

At 10:00 we are going to raffle a bunch of nice prizes we got to raffle away. There will be no lunch or food. Just fishing and prizes.

Raffle tickets will be a $1 a piece. (this pays for the majority of the prizes) (still no profit for me or anyone else)

Biggest reason for not fully throwing this is the ice surface conditions, it is very slick, ice rink slick.(No snow for traction) We dont want kids getting hurt. If you have ice cleats they might be a good idea if you come. The ice thickness is between 5-6 " so that isnt the problem.

to save money ($5 St. Park entry fee) we are now planning on doing this on the West side of the lake. Second turn off. Straight across from the boat ramp. I drive a green chevy blazer, bft sticker on back. Plus i will have my hand held on ch. 12 [/size]

YOU DONT NEED TO RSVP, IF YOU DECIDE TO COME ON SATURDAY, WE WILL SEE YOU THERE. IF NOT MAYBE SEE YA ON THE ICE AGAIN THIS WINTER SOMETIME.
