Had a chance to talk to a guy that said he fished the pig on Saturday. He said he iced one bow in about 3 hours of fishing. He said he fished near the dam. He told me the edges were soft for about the 1st 2-3 feet, but the ice on the lake was a good 8". He said there were 2 others out there fishing, and he didn't see them catch anything.
Hopefully the Kokes will make a comeback up there. I've heard different theories as to why they were down, from the low water a couple years ago when they were working on the dam, to beaver dams up in the inlet that prevented the fish from spawning. I personally think they are just in a down cycle, and it should pick back up in a year or two.
Hope this info help.
